My desire to become a counselor stemmed from my personal journey through a challenging period in my life. During this time, I grappled with feelings of low self-confidence and a lack of direction and purpose. Pursuing the necessary training and education to become a counselor provided me with an opportunity to delve into my own self-discovery and gain a deeper understanding of who I am. Through this process, I learned to accept and befriend myself. It is important to note that this did not mean I suddenly became completely problem-free or lived in a perpetual state of happiness. However, it did instill in me a newfound trust in myself, allowing me to navigate future difficult periods with greater confidence.
I firmly believe that every individual possesses inner strengths that may go unnoticed due to their current life circumstances and obstacles. My primary focus is to assist clients in discovering their true potential and uncovering their innate strengths. By recognizing and tapping into these strengths, I strongly believe that clients can develop new skills and strategies to navigate through challenging times in their lives. In order to create a safe and supportive environment for my clients, I continuously strive to establish a space where they feel comfortable addressing past traumas, various life challenges, and unexpressed emotions.
To effectively collaborate with clients and help them achieve their goals during difficult times, I employ a range of therapeutic approaches tailored to their specific needs. These approaches may include Emotionally Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, among others. Furthermore, I actively seek feedback from my clients throughout the counseling journey, as it enables me to provide more efficient and effective treatment in ways that truly resonate with them and make a positive impact on their well-being.
