"Problems" in our lives often try to take all of our attention and time. This can lead us to focus solely on challenges and difficulties, or avoid them at all cost. In both cases, we often find ourselves sacrificing our time, energy, and access to other parts of our lives. However, the more we sacrifice of ourselves, the more they take up space. Despite the pressure we often feel to immediately "fix" them, focusing instead on our values, core beliefs, needs and aspirations can help create alternatives to problem-saturated narratives.
My counselling approach is strength-based, solution-focused and narrative-driven. Our conversations will provide an empathetic, non-judgemental space for you to express and explore your preferred outcomes. This will allow us to identify new and established ways you defy and resist "problems", while re-writing a deeper and richer version of your life and journey.
My practice is founded on the belief that people are not their “problems”, and are rather greater than the sum of the events in their lives.
