I help my clients get to the root of their emotional issues and uncover what emotional needs aren't being met - and how to meet those needs in healthy, practical ways.
Therapy sessions involve dialogue, reflection, psychoeducation, behaviour practice, emotional processing and integration. I use a number of modalites, but mainly leaning on methods that are relational, somatic, emotion-focused, experiental, attachment theory-informed, with inner child/re-parenting exercises.
All of these modalities have in common the aim of helping us gain a greater understanding of ourselves and the relational dynamics we tend to fall into by habit. Counselling provides an opportunity to understand ourselves, understand others, and embrace both with acceptance and compassion. We also look at what your needs and desires are, and how to align your choices with what you want more of in your life.
My office is located in Vancouver, with both online and in-person availabilities during the weekday or Saturdays. Free consultations available.
